"These are unique days… while [they] are uncomfortable, as we seek to walk by faith and not by sight, they remain the place that God has called me to and is therefore the best place for me to be!"

The Logos Hope was purchased on 19th April 2004 and since then many hundreds of people have helped out with the project of converting the ship from car ferry to ministry vessel. Installing new cabins, offices, conference spaces and even whole decks, a large team of volunteers have spent almost five years stripping the ship to her bare steel and then built her back up again.

On 19th February 2009, the Logos Hope set sail from Koege, Denmark, into active ministry - bringing knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world. For more information on the Logos Hope, news, photos and current port details take a look at http://www.logoshope.org

As Public Ministries Director, Graham is responsible for five departments…

  • Line-up – a team of people who travel ahead of the ship to plan, prepare and publicise the upcoming visit
  • Book Fair – running daily on the ship from 10am-10pm and offering more than 5000 titles which cater to all members of the family
  • Help Ministry – seeking to meet people’s physical, emotional, educational and practical needs as well as their spiritual ones
  • Event Management – teams working beside local churches in various projects, ship tours and onboard conferences
  • Logos Hope Experience – providing an experience of the Gospel for all who come onboard

In addition, he is involved in a variety of ministry activities ranging from teaching in small groups, leading prayer nights, preaching both onboard and onshore, to joining the evangelism teams on the streets.

In February 2008, two members of West Road Church drove thirty bicycles donated by Aid to Hospitals Worldwide from Bury St Edmunds to the Logos Hope in Kiel, Germany. They make a big difference to people living and working onboard, giving balance to their lives, particularly for families so that they are able to get out and away from the ship for a while with their children.
