  • JONATHAN VEIRA CONCERT – SATURDAY 11TH NOVEMBER

    Jon Veira

    JONATHAN VEIRA

    SONGS & TALES

at West Road Church, Bury St Edmunds

    on Saturday 11 November 2017 @ 7.30 pm

Chaplin in the Workplace (CITW) has organised its fourth musical fundraising event for Chaplain in the Workplace following the highly successful concerts featuring Stuart Townend, Graham Kendrick and Lou Fellingham.CITW is a longstanding and highly regarded Christian charity supporting people at their place of work. Following his triumphant visit in February last year to Southgate church, the amazingly talented and versatile international singer Jonathan Veira, with the most beautiful voice, is returning to Bury St Edmunds as part of his brand new ‘Jonathan Veira – Songs and Tales Tour’.  Jonathan is essentially a musical chameleon – performing songs of great diversity to an incredibly high standard – which quite possibly makes him unique in the world of entertainment.  Indeed – ‘…better than anyone else in the UK’ is how The Stage recently described him. From Billy Joel to Mozart and everything in between – nothing seems too hard for him!  Ballads, blues, rock n roll, jazz and even opera – everything sounds completely authentic and exhilarating. Accompanying himself on the piano with amazing dexterity, his glorious performance of his songs frequently moves people to tears and then they find themselves weeping with laughter.  Audiences of all ages across the whole of the UK and beyond have been given a night to remember, where people leave feeling uplifted and often moved in a way they were not expecting.
Jonathan’s Christian faith has been an essential part of his life and work and his show reflects this in a gentle and non-threatening way.As the concert coincides with Armistice Day, there will be a suitable time to remember and honour the dead of all wars.

We will be presenting Jonathan at West Road Church (postcode IP33 3EW)  on Saturday 11 November at 7 for 730 pm. Tickets are now on sale at a cost of £12 from the West Road Church Office: open every morning.

    Email office@westroadchurch.org.uk   tel. 01284 723737

    Early booking is recommended.

We look forward to seeing you there.

  • Who Cares? An ecumenical mission initiative across West Suffolk

Who Cares LogoWHO CARES? is really very simple.

It’s about churches across West Suffolk, listening to the needs of local people and responding with the gospel. Through a one-question survey asking ‘What hurts the most?” we want to answer the question ‘WHO CARES?’ by saying, ‘we care’ and ‘God cares’.

It’s about ordinary Christians bringing the hope of Jesus to their communities. How can you get involved in this exciting initiative that runs into 2018?
